Chair in Mathematical Modeling of Climate Systems, Universiter of Exeter/Global Carbon Project
Professor Pierre Friedlingstein isa Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit recipient, Chair of Mathematical Modelling of the Climate System at the University of Exeter, Director of Exeter’s Global Carbon Budget Office, and Lead Author of the Global Carbon Budget, produced by the Global Carbon Project. His research interests are in the field of global biogeochemical cycles and their interaction with the climate system.He is a member of the Joint Steering Committee (JSC) of the World Climate Research Programme(WCRP), co-chair of the WCRP Grand Challenge on Carbon Feedbacks in the climate system, and was lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s Fifth Assessment Report .
