Amanda Williams
Head of Sustainability, Steam Specialties, Spirax-Sarco Engineering
Amanda is a Chartered Environmentalist and full member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment with almost 20 years’ experience of working in sustainability across a range of sectors including higher education, facilities management, defence and manufacturing.
Her current role is Head of Sustainability for the Steam Specialties business at Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc, a FTSE 100 Group specialising in thermal energy solutions and fluid technology.
She leads the Steam Specialties Sustainability function and oversees the implementation of the Group’s One Planet: Engineering with Purpose strategy in the business, which includes a set of ambitious net zero emissions targets.
Amanda is also the Group Strategic Initiative Lead for the Biodiversity Net Gain initiative at Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc and has a particular interest in how businesses can protect and restore nature through their corporate sustainability strategies, as well as Strategic Project Lead for Developing Sustainability Knowledge which she sees as a crucial foundational element of the strategy.
