Aimée Christensen is CEO of Christensen Global where she advises clients including early stage climate innovators, business leaders and multilateral institutions such as Aleph Farms, Duke Energy, Ford Motor Company, Microsoft, and Virgin. During 30 years in climate, she was Climate Maven at Google, a climate lawyer at the World Bank and Baker & McKenzie, and developed policy at the White House and U.S. Department of Energy. Christensen negotiated the first U.S. bilateral and regional climate change agreements (U.S.-Costa Rica, et. al., 1994-1997), drafted the first-ever university endowment climate investment policy (Stanford University, 1999), guided Google’s carbon neutrality commitment (2007), was founding Program Chair of World Climate Summit (2010-11), served as Senior Adviser to UN Secretary General’s High-level Group on Sustainable Energy For All (2012), and founded and led Sun Valley Institute for Resilience (2015-2020) and Sun Valley Forum (2015-present). She has a JD from Stanford Law School and BA from Smith College.
