Nasim Pour
Lead, Carbon Removals and Market Innovation, World Economic Forum
At the World Economic Forum, Nasim leads the Carbon Market Innovation Initiative at the Centre for Nature and Climate and also leads the Carbon Dioxide Removal sector at the First Movers Coalition. In this initiative, Nasim leads a community of renowned international business leaders and experts to drive engagement with the ultimate ambition of achieving wider adoption of carbon markets as a strategic lever to accelerate high-impact climate action, protect nature and drive the energy transition to net zero. Â
Previously, Nasim worked at the International Energy Agency (IEA) as an energy analyst, working on the role of carbon capture and storage technologies in decarbonising the economy. Nasim has worked in consulting firms and has been involved in planning strategic decarbonisation solutions for a number of industry partners and government agencies in Australia and Southeast Asia. Nasim completed her PhD on the sustainability of negative emission technologies at the University of Melbourne, Australia.Â
