Matsi Modise is the World Climate Foundation Africa Lead, who has helped establish the Africa Leading initiative within the foundation. Her focus is bridging the gap between the global north and the global south in the climate innovation and climate investment space and ensuring that Africa has a voice and a seat at the table. Matsi is an entrepreneur, Founder of Furaha Afrika Holdings, with interest in skills training and skills technology.  She is an avid tech investor in two African fintech companies, Finclusion Africa Holdings (3 African countries ) and Airbuy, an early-stage digital wallet startup. Matsi holds various Non-Executive Directorship and trustee positions in local and international entities (Technology Innovation Agency (TIA), Kuehne + Nagel, Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, SAB Foundation, Johannesburg City Power). Matsi continues to play an instrumental role in advocating for policy reform for high impact, high growth technology startups in South Africa, through her role as the Chairperson of the South African Startup Act Movement.
