Yossi Abu

NewMed Energy
Mr. Yossi Abu, CEO of NewMed Energy since 2011 and CEO of Avner Oil Exploration from 2016-2017, led the merger between the two companies.
Yossi played a key role in the development of the Tamar and Leviathan reservoirs, and the Aphrodite, Karish and Tanin discoveries. Yossi, on behalf of the gas partnerships, spearheaded the regional export agreements under which agreements were signed with Egypt, Jordan, and other countries from the Arab world, while establishing strategic ties with the countries from around the region. He also led the negotiations for the sale of natural gas to the domestic market and the Israel Electric Corporation.
Yossi holds an LL.B from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
