WORLD CLIMATE SUMMIT/ INVESTMENT COP COVID-19 POLICY
_______________________________________________________

World Climate Summit/Investment will be held both as an in-person and digital event this November. Health and safety are a top priority. As a result, we have produced these guidelines to ensure that the WCS/Investment COP events are held in the safest possible conditions for our partners, attendees, and production team.

1. VACCINATION & TESTING

To gain access to the event all suppliers, attendees, and organizers will need to provide proof of their current Covid status which can be either:

  • Two vaccines (1st & 2nd dose) with the second dose at least 14 days prior to attending the event.

  • Negative lateral flow test taken within 48 hours prior to attending the event. This can be displayed via NHS App, SMS text, or email.

  • For those participants that won’t have either of the above we will set up the officially approved testing space on site, where we will open the possibility for testing on site, and gaining the result within the 40 minutes timeframe. Please note that the test cost will need to be covered by the attendee on site and that you will need to wait for the test results in our waiting room before entering the event.

2. MASK WEARING

Mask Wearing is currently mandatory in conference and exhibition centers in Scotland. All attendees will be expected to wear a mask within the Hilton Hotel during the WCS event. Please be noted that you are allowed to take your masks off when: eating, drinking, or seating. These guidelines may change and we will update you should this happen.

3. GENERAL HYGIENE

An enhanced cleaning regime will remain in place:

Anti-bacterial units will be in use across the event in busy areas e.g., registration, entrances and exits, meeting rooms, catering, as well as conference and seating areas.

Signage will be on display throughout to reminder those to wash their hands regularly while using the Government messaging of Hands, Face, Space, Fresh Air.

It is strongly recommended that all expo stands have anti-bacterial solutions available on their stands.

4. CAPACITY

The event is restricted to a specific number of attendees per day allowed by the venue. The capacity fits into WCS/Investment COP standard capacity for the event.

5. NETWORKING &CATERING

Together with Hilton Glasgow, we have made the decision that no open food will be served during our networking breaks.

Catering will be boxed.

Food and drink sampling for the expo stands is not permitted from the organizer.

Hospitality areas have been increased and enhanced cleaning will be in place.

6. VENTILATION

The venue will operate the appropriate ventilation systems in accordance with the health and safety measures expected for all our attendees.

7. EXHIBITION AND DELIVERY OUTLINE

Exhibition set up and break-down, as well as the storage and delivery systems, will be operating under strict rules, which the Hilton hotel will be sharing shortly.

8. CONTACT TRACKING

Contact tracing is key to protect our partners and attendees:

We will collaborate with the local health department to facilitate case investigation and contact tracing for event attendees if needed.

For more information regarding contact tracing and what to expect please review the SGV Contact Tracing website.
