When the COP world comes together in Belém for COP30, it will arrive at a turning point. The Amazon – home to countless communities and one of the planet’s greatest climate regulators – is both a lifeline and a warning. The truth is simple: climate action isn’t about some far-off future. It’s about the choices we make right now, choices that decide whether people and nature thrive together or slip deeper into crisis.

What the World Climate Foundation is bringing to Belém is not another conference, but an activation platform. Over 48 hours, the World Climate Summit & The Investment COP will gather two groups who rarely share the same space – those building and providing climate and nature solutions, and those who can unlock the finance to scale them. This is the moment when experience meets capital, when words give way to action.

Our Role in Climate Action

As a proud member of the Marrakech Partnership for non-government stakeholders and an accredited observer of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the World Climate Foundation plays an active role in advancing the implementation of the Paris Agreement.

This year marks the 16th edition of the World Climate Summit – The Investment COP, a milestone in the Foundation’s flagship initiatives, including the Climate Investment Coalition, World Biodiversity Network, and World Impact Network. The iconic Investment COP returns, co-organised by Converge Capital and co-hosted with iCS, ANBIMA, and B3, to deliver tangible outcomes aligned with the Foundation’s Impact Framework and Action Agenda for COP30, guiding the world toward a net-zero and nature-positive future.
