Prof. Shu-Yuan Pan
Associate Professor, Department of Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering, National Taiwan University
Professor Shu-Yuan Pan is the Vice Chief Executive Officer of the Agricultural Net Zero Technology and Management Innovation Research Center at National Taiwan University (NTU). He obtained his B.S. from the Department of Geography at NTU in 2009, and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of Environmental Engineering at NTU in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Energy Technology Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In 2019, Pan joined NTU as a tenure-track Assistant Professor, and then was promoted as an Associate Professor in 2023. He is dedicated to developing circular agricultural technologies as a new resource and source of energy towards practical zero emissions. Pan has published over 100 SCI articles (Citations > 7000; h-index > 45) and has received 8 patents. He was awarded the 2022 ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship Award (USA) for his achievements in green separation for a circular economy, and was named in “World’s Top 2% Scientists” since 2020.
