Serge Gaudin is Director Strategy & Sustainability, Novelis Europe. In this role, which he took over in May 2021, he is responsible to bring forward Novelis´ sustainability targets and to drive the company´s roadmap towards net zero carbon neutrality.

Serge Gaudin is a recognized expert in recycling and sustainability and was previously responsible for metal supply and recycling at Novelis Europe in his roles as Vice President Metal Management & Recycling, since April 2020. Together with the experts from seven recycling centers and foundries, he developed new solutions for lower CO2 emissions, sustainable material innovations and the constant increase of recycled content input. Before, he was Director, Metal Management, Novelis Europe since January 2017. He was responsible for the metal activities and metal procurement at the European manufacturing facilities. Previously, he held the position of Director Operations for both Recycling Center in Nachterstedt and Casthouse Center in Sierre, being responsible for the multi-site operational activities and defined strategic expenditure.

Serge Gaudin has 21 years of experience in the Aluminium industry with previously held management positions in Alcan and Alusuisse. He holds a Mechanical Engineering Master’s Degree from EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland and a certificate in Mastering Technology Enterprise from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
