Chris is Senior Director, Investor Network at Ceres, a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the economy to build a just and sustainable future for people and the planet. Chris co-founded the Ceres Investor Network on Climate Risk and Sustainability in 2003 and currently focuses on accelerating and scaling up global investor action to tackle the climate crisis. Chris is a founding staff member of several international initiatives including Climate Action 100+ in 2017, The Investor Agenda in 2018, and the Global Reporting Initiative in 1997.

Before joining Ceres in 1997, Chris worked at the Heinz Family Foundation in Washington, D.C. and was a co-founder and executive director of the Center for Environmental Citizenship. Chris has a B.A. with honors from Yale University and a Master of Divinity degree from Harvard University. For his leadership as a student activist on environmental and social justice issues, Vice President Al Gore presented Chris with the Michael Schwerner Activist Award at the White House in 1993.
