Protecting People and the Planet
- Building Climate Resilient Health Systems
The Covid-19 pandemic has challenged health systems all over the world and even increased
vulnerability to further health threats such as climate change. According to the WHO it's the same human activities that are destabilizing the Earth’s climate and endanger people's health. Fighting climate change and enhancing the resilience of our health systems at the same time is therefore crucial. This effort requires global collaboration, increased finance, and the equitable sharing of solutions. How can we create resilient health systems that are able to withstand climate change impacts and protect people? What role can public officials, health professionals and solutions providers play in driving global climate action?
