‘Introduction to Natural Wines’ wine-tasting experience with sommelier, Severine Sloboda
Natural Wines have a very long history, though the methods have been slowly disappearing during the second part of the twentieth century in favour of larger scale winemaking methods. The modern movement of natural wines started in the 1980s but has exploded onto the scene particularly over the last five years. Natural wine is considered to be an approach to winemaking employed both in the vineyards and the cellar. Using grapes from biodynamic, organic, permaculture and/or sustainable farming practices, in the cellar the makers apply a low intervention approach to the winemaking process and use little to no chemicals.
Severine will take our guests through 3 natural wines: one red, one orange, and one white.
There will also be a non-alcoholic (<0.3%) sparkling wine option available.
