‘Lead By Example’ & Harnessing Innovation
- Success Stories from the Carbon Neutral Fashion & Textile Industry
The fashion industry is responsible for 10% of annual global carbon emissions, more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined. Life cycle assessments have proven that there is a need for attention throughout the entire supply chain, in order to reduce the sector’s environmental footprint. This involves everyone, from manufacturers to designers and consumers, collaborating towards a carbon-neutral industry. This session will address the need for initiatives, bringing together key stakeholders such as businesses, governments, citizens and especially innovators. With a question in focus: How can we stimulate innovation and collaboration for the development of a new fashion industry, aligned with the principles of a carbon neutral society?
